Our beliefs

confessions of faith

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. AT  to him are due recognition, adoration, trust and obedience.

As a father is tender for his children, the LORD is tender for those who fear him. Psalms 103  :13

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, that he was born of the virgin Mary and that he is truly God and man. He died on the cross for our sins and those who believe in him and repent are saved. He is risen and now sits at the right hand of God. We believe that Jesus Christ will return as he promised.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. Luke 19  :10

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent by the Lord to dwell in all born believers  again. He teaches, leads, edifies and gives the gifts necessary for the service of the church and its testimony in the world.

But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I have told you. John 14  :26

THE BIBLE

It is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It is the basis of our faith and the authority in matters of doctrine and way of life.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Mark 13  :31

All Scripture is inspired of God, and useful to teach, to convince, to correct, to instruct in righteousness, so that the man of God may be accomplished and fit for every good work. 2 Timothy 3  :16

PRAISE

It is for us a way of life in all circumstances and allows us to give glory to God for all that he does in our lives.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be in my mouth. Psalms 34  :2

THE CHRISTIAN WAY OF LIFE

We believe that man and woman have been created by God in His image to be associated to His work and to relate to Him. This relationship is expressed through prayer, praise, service, a consecrated life, and it is called to grow in the image of what Jesus taught us.

The disciple is no more learned than his master, but all well-trained disciples will be like their master. Luke 6  :40

EVANGELISM

We want to share the good news of salvation in Jesus and his love through our life testimony.

Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. » Mark 16  :15

FRATERNAL COMMUNION

We want to live out fraternal love in our community by encouraging a culture of hospitality, service, solidarity, forgiveness, reconciliation and authentic relationships.

Having purified your souls by obeying the truth to have sincere brotherly love, love one another ardently with all your heart. 1 Peter 1  :22

TEACHING

The teaching in the church is for all generations and it is given in a way suited to each, based on the eternal word of God, regardless of present circumstances.

I don't want you, brethren, to be ignorant. 1 Corinthians 12  :1

My people are dying, because they don't know me. Hosea 4  :6

the church

We believe that the Church is made up of all born-again believers in all nations and constitutes the family of God, and that local churches are visible expressions of this.

RESPECT

We believe that we must respect human kind from conception until death, and preserve the dignity of every human being.

We believe that God commands us to respect the property of others and to keep our word. He calls us to promote social justice and care for His creation. He addresses to each of us a call to serve Him though our work, while also putting aside time for our own relationship with God, through quiet times and times of communal worship.

Political authority being a divine institution, the Christian must pray for those in positions of power, whilst also submitting to legal obligations, as long as they are not contrary to the teachings of the Bible.

That everyone is subject to higher authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. Romans 13:1-7

And having called them, they absolutely forbade them to speak and teach in the name of Jesus.  Peter and John answered them  : Judge if it is right, before God, to obey you rather than God  ; because we cannot not talk about what we have seen and heard. Acts 4  :18-20
